Who is Black Carbon
“Saving the planet is now a communications challenge.” Sir David Attenborough
At its core, Black Carbon is more than just a blog — it’s part of a wider movement for a sustainable and equitable future, championing the planet, people, and the power of collective action.
Located in Cyprus, Black Carbon and its contributors are dedicated to driving meaningful and impactful conversations around climate change and social justice, designed ultimately to translate into political action. The name “Black Carbon” — derived from an air pollutant that harms our health and is a major contributor to the climate crisis — may seem counterintuitive, but serves instead as a powerful symbol of the platform’s mission to expose the most pressing issues of our time.
